Looking after your Pearls is easy! Our jars can be easily disassembled to ensure thorough cleaning from the inside out.

You may hand wash your jars with soap and hot water using a sponge warm soapy water, or in the dishwasher – each of our components are dishwasher friendly.

Do not use scouring pads as these may scratch the glass or stainless steel. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry.

The Pearl range was developed to be reused, however, this depends on their usage. Under normal conditions you will be able to reuse the jars more often.

The Pearl range can consist of the following materials: Glass, Stainless Steel and TPE. Each component can be recycled separately.

Glass recycling is commonly available and most local authorities help to collect and recycle glass.

Stainless Steel is considered a material that lasts a very long time and can also be recycled. Due to its frequent usage, it is a valuable material and will also be available for recycling in most local recycling centers.

TPE can as well be recycled 100%. As a material that is not so commonly available, we offer our help to ensure that they can be properly recycled.

TPE is a Thermo-Plastic Elastomer. Made in Europe, these seals have a successful track record for their use in the returnable “swing-top” glass bottle trade and are fully recyclable and reusable while guaranteeing hygiene and safety. They are FDA approved and compliant with the European Food Safety Authority and are BPA-free.

At this moment, we do not offer single components, however please get in contact with your online store and see if they can help you out.

Canning is a method to preserve processed foods in a container under vacuum. By processing food in high temperature and storing it under vacuum in a container, you can increase the shelf life of a product significantly.

Most of the Pearls can be used for canning with some exceptions.

We do not recommend the Sunny Cap Storage and Spiral for canning, as we cannot guarantee for both that the vacuum will persist over time to ensure that the filling stays healthy.

Luckily all other jars of the Pearl original range have been successfully tested for vacuum and can be used for canning.
